The Chamber

The Capitol Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in May 1989. It is a private, not- for- profit business and individual membership organization. In November 2011, the Capitol Chamber of Commerce underwent a re-branding and refocus initiative and changed it’s Mission/Vision to promote, educate and serve Black businesses in Central Oklahoma.

  • ┬áThe Chamber is a voluntary organization of civic-minded citizens who invest their time and money for unified community development.
  • Our focus is to market Northeast Oklahoma City and attract new growth. Also, we assist existing and expanding businesses to prosper, and encourage economic development for new employment and investment growth.
  • We provide services and programs to address the specific needs of small and corporate business, education, economic and community development.
  • Our organization is a member of the State Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.

Our new philosophy is, “we work hard for our members” and that is our commitment.

Gone are the days, of just existing, we have strategically re-branded the Chamber to fulfill a need. We will no longer put off the inevitable and have embraced Central Oklahoma as a whole. We want our members to succeed, in abundance. — Sharron Jackson, Board President

As we continue to shine a light on those businesses that have a common goal of education and wealth, the Chamber will continue to be a resource and the main “go-to” point of contact for our members and those who want to do business with our members.
